Cons
  • Limited dining at the base village and slopes are not ideal for beginners

Overall

4.1

Revelstoke has obvious stoke factor, with the biggest vertical in North America at 5,620 ft, and 3,121 ac of skiing including two high alpine bowls and 65 thigh burningly long trails. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is also the only resort in the world to offer lift-accessed resort skiing plus cat skiing, heli-skiing and backcountry skiing all emanating from one ski resort base. In fact, Revelstoke is the capital of heli-skiing in BC, Canada and the globe for that matter. Just off the Trans Canada Highway, Revelstoke is home to the humbling ski resort plus Revelstoke Cat Skiing and Selkirk Tangiers Heli-Skiing -giving skiers and snowboarders access to a total of 515,000 ac of diverse terrain and options in all kinds of weather from snowy white outs when helicopters can't fly or lifts can't run, but cats can. Plus there are numerous other cat ski and heli-ski outfits in Revelstoke including Eagle Pass Heli-Ski, Mica, and CMH to name a few.

If you are into steep and deep this place is awesome. Can almost always ski onto the lifts too. Not much in the way of beginner terrain at all though.... More

This is THE ski resort to go to if you like steep, trees, and tons of snow. The mountain vibe is that of a skier's resort - people who ride here don't care about the shopping in town; they only care about the mountain, the snow, and which line they are going to ski next.... More

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the thing of dreams for advanced skiers/snowboarders, with its seemingly endless advanced terrain and bottomless powder. 'Revy' isnt exactly the most beginner friendly mountain, which makes for a nice quiet resort and freshies that last for days after the storm. ... More

This place is incredible. If you hike the top bit, the vertical drop the base lodge is 6,400 feet!! Quaint town offering affordable accommodation. Snow quality is second to none and they don't even need snowmaking system :)... More

Revelstoke is an amazing mountain with super awesome people but needs more development at the resort and in the town. The ski hill is not for beginners but offers a wide variety of steep glade skiing as well as easy accessible slack country. Also has a few alpine bowls. Make reservations early it is becoming very popular. ... More

I love Revelstoke. Best tree runs I have skiied in Canada, whatever you would like, wide-open, close together, plus the back bowls are easily accessed. Amazing resort. A new favourite of mine

This is possibly the greatest ski resort in the world with more than 12 metres of fresh, light powder making it feel like you're floating on a cloud the whole way down it's record-breaking 1700 metre verticle. With limited beginner runs the crowds stay away and leave the field open to the more advanced rider for whome this resorts terrain was meant... More

This mountain is a little far for me, but worth the drive. Lots vertical and great snow most of the ski season. I had a great time exploring the runs, but did not see everything. I will be back to finish soon. And with clear weather the view at the top is great.

I rode this resort in 2010/2011 and It was unreal. La ñina season was hitting that year and we had dry powder all season from top to bottom. Can not wait to go back. :)
