Pros
- Good value and rarely crowded
- Modern and efficient lifts
- Challenging terrain
Cons
- Far drive from New York City
Overall
Roughly 4 hours drive from New York City, Gore Mountain is a large New York ski resort with a wide range of terrain including wide pistes to carve on and fun trees to weave through. The resort is rarely very crowded and has a more laid-back atmoshpere than nearby Whiteface. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway with family, but those looking for nightlife should look elsewhere.

There is a nice variety of Chairlifts at the 7 distinct mountain areas that you can avoid the crowds if you want. Glade skiing for those who enjoy it is top-notch. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself every time I have been... MoreSuperb!5 / 5Jul 16, 2011
