Absolutely the best resort out there! Such a down home local feel. Really makes you feel at home. Myself and my wife both learned to ski here and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. Build your Appalachian Ski Mountain Ski Trip

Overall
A family-friendly down-to-earth resort, Appalachian is an excellent starter mountain with good lift infrastructure for its size with dependable snowmaking when there's not enough of the white stuff. There's a pretty solid terrain park and a huge base lodge. The resort also has 8 hookups for RV parking or nearby Boone for lodging options.
