  • 80% of trails are lit for night skiing
  • Less crowds compared to larger resorts
Cons
  • Relatively small size

Overall

4.5

For those who love to ski all day and all night, Mt Hood Ski Bowl not only has some of the best night skiing but also the largest lit terrain in the country. On top of the 34 runs lit for night skiing, the ski area serves up some good steeps but short runs. The laid-back local mountain is the closest resort to Portland and offers the cheapest lift tickets on Mt Hood.

If you live in or around Portland, this is your to go resort. Be it a quick visit midweek after work or full weekend days, it never dissapoints. On top of that, the early precipitation allows for a long season to enjoy the slopes. Overall, I really recommend it... More

Closest to Portland and perfect for quick fixes or night riding. Park does well, and the scene is more mellow than the resorts uphill. Plus they're cool with Yobeat so that's nice.... More

Best night skiing in Oregon and Washington. Great terrain under the lights. Doesn’t always get the great snow but when it does this place is the place to be, especially under the stars.... More

best technical terrain with steeps & drops @ mt hood, just a wee bit too low. If ski bowl were just 1000 ft higher, it would be the best steep skiing with powder, even, going anywhere!!! Not always mt. hood mud. I've experienced knee deep champagne, Alta style powder there on numerous occasions. & you can be there in just a bit over an hour... More

Ski Bowl is super chill and if you want to do do some hiking you can get into some pretty rad terrain. Wait for some powder and hike to the skiers left top part of the area. A few chutes and drops will get your heart racing. Also got to love a place with a rope tow for quick laps through a park. Night riding is cheap and empty. If you want to ride... More

The most challenging terrain at Mount Hood is located here. Tom Dick Peak and the Outback will put you into heaven. Or just bang out right under the Upper Bowl chair.
