Pros
- Good mix of terrain with tons of vertical
- Fewer crowds compared to resorts such as Park City
- Luxurious day lodge and great on-mountain dining
Cons
- No base village or accommodation
Overall
Snowbasin Resort is by far one of the best ski areas in Utah. The majority of skiers go to Deer Valley, Park City and Snowbird - that one aspect alone makes Snowbasin great, just 10 minutes further (45 minutes total) from Salt Lake City it’s a skier’s gem.

This seems to be an up and coming area. The lodge facilities are A-1. The lifts & snow conditions are great. It's just 45 minutes from Park City.Superb!5 / 5Apr 15, 2006

It is the most beautiful place you will ever ski! There is terrain for all types of sking abilities, programs such as the racing team and the ski and snowboard school, and the food is world class. The overall atmosphere at snowbasin leaves you with a warm and happy feeling like you get after watching a tear jerker movie.Very Good!4 / 5Nov 12, 2005
