Overall

4.1

Classic boutique resort with a convenient luxury ski village just steps from the lifts, that's what you find at Solitude Mountain Resort. And as the name implies, you won't find a lot of skiers - you will discover fabulous un-crowded big mountain skiing to offset the "small" mountain resort feel at the base. Deer Valley has purchased Solitude and has replaced the Summit Quad with an Express lift, accessing the sweet snowy terrain in Honeycomb Canyon. There will be more Deer Valley touches to come, like upgrading the lodging and food service to this lesser known ski resort with big powder and huge potential.

Solitude is an aptly named resort, a great place to find yourself alone on extreme terrain on a powder day. I've skied a couple weekend and holiday powder days at Solitude and they looked like weekdays at nearby Brighton or most other resorts. However, you do need to be prepared to hike if you want to get all the goodies and the layout of the lifts... More

Solitude is the gem of the Wasatch. Great snow, terrain, and no lift lines. Honeycomb Canyon is like having lift served backcountry. The frontside caters to beginners to advanced riders and skiers. The mid mountain lodge is comfy and has some of the best Himalayan food in Utah. Hit the village for pizza and apres beverages. If your gonna pick... More

As the name says, Solitude is what you will experience at this Resort. The powder from big dumps sticks around for days in the woods and chutes on the resort's back side. While Alta and Snowbird get all the press about the toughest terrain, there are certainly some runs here that will make you do a double take before dropping in. Also fantastic... More

While it's one of the smaller Wasatch Mountain resorts, Solitude offers deep powder intermediate runs with minimal crowds. The lodging and food are kept at high standard for reasonable price. A great value!

Solitude truly lives up to its name, with so many runs and never a wait in the lift lines. And the new high speed summit lift gets you to the action even quicker.

easy to get too, nonstop flight available from ft. lauderdale, can ski the same day arrive. Incredible snow & NO LIFT lines. We love the ski-in ski-out and wonderful people. Great ski/snowboard school too.

The terrain is varied and challenging. The accomadations and food are great. Price is right and the people are friendly and helpful. Family oriented, yet singles or couples can have a blast.
