Overall
Montana is not on everyone's ski bucket list, but it's growing. Most people think of Montana for fly-fishing, bison chasing, bighorn sheep-spotting, ranches and road trips to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Part of us wants to keep the secret of how sensational the skiing is at Big Sky. It is truly one of our favorite western ski destinations.

Great Mt, it's huge, short lines and massive pow. Terrain for all skill levels and you need 7 days to ski em all! I love big sky, it's definitely a place you will go to ski again and again!... Moreintermediate skier

Can't say enough about Big Sky. You need a week just to get everywhere and if you don't have a local to show you around, you're still missing a good portion of it. Advanced and expert riding is everywhere and the ability to make the mountain your own is beyond impressive. Killer apres opportunities in the town and if you can find the local spots... It doesn't get any bigger than Big Sky, there's no other place where the acreage, the vertical, and the views all come together for such a grand big-mountain experience. Skiing off the tram, and off the piste at Big Sky is a legendary experience. The mountain is so big you can do the longest run of your life AND see the fewest people you've ever... Moreexpert skier

To all the ski resorts I have been around the world... BigSly has won my eternal love. Maybe because Im growing older and walking away from large crowds but BigSky is the least crowded resort ever... even at full capacity you barely cross path with anyone beside the intermediate and popular slopes. Little friendly town center full of life. Very... Moreadvanced skier

Big Sky Resort truly is a vacation away. Endless skiable terrain with little traffic on the slopes and short lines at the lift. All lifts are updated and move quickly, making laps all day a dream come true. The tram up to Lone Peak carries 15 which doesn't overcrowd the terrain and stunning views up top. The resort boasts endless runs for skiers... Moreadvanced skier

Big sky has great terrain and always seems to have great snow. The snow seems to last with little to no lift lines. One of my all time favorites to this day.... Moreexpert skier

Hidden gem of the Wasatch front. When the powder dumps it stays for days unlike the big names of Snowbird and Alta. A laid back vibe where with folks don't take themselves too seriously, but take their skiing and riding seriously. Fun for everyone!... Moreexpert skier
