Cons
- Small base with limited food and lodging
Overall
Brighton is always a reliable choice for Utah's infamous powder but without the price tag and crowds of nearby resorts. On the other hand, it's much smaller with a relatively short vertical drop. Nevertheless, Brighton is an affordable locals mountain with a laid-back vibe with a good variety of runs and park scene.

Great local vibe. Fun family atmosphere if you want it. Fun grungy crew to grind with if you want it. Steeps and learner terrain. Parks and powder. Something for everyone. Difficult commute at 9am on a pow day.... Moreadvanced skier

Brighton is a great resort for beginners and families. They have some steeper terrain, but the majority is pretty mellow. Their terrain park is decent, but not on the same level as Mammoth or Breckenridge. It's a great resort for cruising groomers and has a family-owned feel.... Moreexpert snowboarder

Good resort if your a master of the sport or just getting into it. The day skiing is incredible, and the night skiing is better than most. If your into park skiing you'll find what your looking for. If not, you'll still enjoy the terrain.... Moreexpert skier

This resort is a favorite for mobbing through the woods. It is definitely one of the most fun. It lacks some of the park city amenities, but that keeps the crowds away and keeps it focused on the right stuff, POW mashing and bombing. Good mix of terrain. Too much fun to miss.... This resort has it all except lodging. The terrain is fantastic and the good stuff is accessible enough but not so much that it’s tracked out before you can enjoy it. You can have fun all day, and kids ski free unde 10... Moreexpert snowboarder

Brighton is my all round favorite resort if the snow hit right. Perfect back country for beginners, yet something a expert can have fun with hitting jumps between trees. This would be heaven on earth, if it just wasn’t Utah sadly. Hard to enjoy a mountain without a real beer... Moreadvanced snowboarder

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEWe used to love Brighton but we had the worst experience today. My 6 year old daughter was knocked down by a Brighton Ski instructor "David" on the bunny slope and he yelled at her "you need to learn to ski better!"
She is 6 and I'm dealing with a serious health problem and we brought the kids to ski to try to cheer them up... Morebeginner skier

I love it! It is convenient to Salt Lake City, less crowded than Alta or Snowbird, has diverse terrain and is a little bit cheaper than the others in the area. If you have kids, kids 10 and under ski free with a paid adult.... Moreintermediate skier

When you want that mom and pop resort feel but Cottonwood Canyon snow quality and quantity, BRIGHTON is for you. Laid back feel, great terrain, great deals. Beautiful views, great for beginners and experts alike. Snowboarders swarm here but plenty of variety for everyone. Only cons are runs are shorter, parking can be tough if your late and not...
