Pros
  • Affordable for families (kids 10 and under ski free)
  • Slope connected to Solitude Mountain on the Solbright pass
  • Less crowded than nearby popular resorts
Cons
  • Small base with limited food and lodging

Overall

4

Brighton is always a reliable choice for Utah's infamous powder but without the price tag and crowds of nearby resorts. On the other hand, it's much smaller with a relatively short vertical drop. Nevertheless, Brighton is an affordable locals mountain with a laid-back vibe with a good variety of runs and park scene.

The lifts are slow! The lines are long and the ski resort is small! Not to mention the small over packed parking Lot. You might get turned away because the parking lot is full. But on the off chance you find a parking spot have fun on the very few over packed, tracked out runs. And joke of a ski park. One of the worst resorts in Utah.... More

I think Brighton must be the smallest most uninteresting, over packed resort around. Park city has 7x the usable area. Snowbard had much better advanced runs and brighton is lacking a good bunny hill for beginners. If your new to the sport or of your an expert your batter off at any other resort. If your right in the center a half day good at... More

Brighton is like the small town of ski resorts. It may not have a gondola, but the snow can't be beat, and the people there seem friendlier than Those at Snowbird, PC, or really any of the other resorts. Relatively small resort, but there's still plenty of mountain for everyone.... More

Brighton is a great resort for the value and is really easy to get to and the terrain comes in all varieties. The option to hike in/out of the resort to unpatrolled backcountry is pretty sweet, but the mountain can be super crowded and overall its pretty small compared to other resorts in the area.... More

Brighton is my favorite resort in Utah. It truly does have the greatest snow on earth. It is the last resort in Utah that still has a small town/old school vibe. The prices are drastically cheaper than others in the state, but the riding is just as good. This was the first place I ever went, and I learned to board here with my brother and dad. ... More

I spent season 2016/17 in brigton resort. This may be the best resort for people staying in salt lake... Best value for sure. The groomers are not so exciting, but will keep busy the average intermediate rider. Where this resort really excels is in the tree runs. Lots and lots of Aspen and pine trees to get yourself lost into. Also magnificent... More
