West Virginia is the home of the Appalachian Mountains, and of four ski resorts. The big kid in town is Snowshoe, the largest ski resort in the mid-Atlantic. Snowshoe has 251 ac of skiable train and a good mix of difficulty on 57 runs. The village offers many amenities and great lodging options. Snowshoe is a destination of East Coast skiers, but it has enough variety to provide a fun experience for those who learned to ski out West as well.
